(read: mwo) SPIRAL BIKE is a new concert format from Vienna that combines sound art and performance with unique routes and architecture in the city. In a program lasting for several months, different districts of the city of Vienna, from the center to the periphery, will be performed. Concerts and performances will take place in the unique bicycle spirals along the Prater Bridge to Donaustadt, from the Südbahnhof Bridge to Simmering and the Brigittenauer Bridge to Floridsdorf, with the public invited to participate on their bicycles. SPIRAL BIKE presents concerts and sound art on bicycles, with mobile loudspeakers, in motion, and the open air. The bicycle becomes a medium for sound art in public spaces and an inspiration for musical and performative works. As a swarm with mobile PA loudspeakers, RAD Performance moves through the city. The street becomes a stage, the bicycle becomes a soundbike, and the collective ride becomes a concert. |
